Announcing Our 2023 Group Tours!

Eternal Matt will be seen touring Europe with his tour group.
Published : 22.9.20 | September 20, 2022

The first time I went solo I went on an organized tour. I was thirty years old and knew nothing about travel, and I was a little afraid to go alone. So I booked a tour with other people and a guide to help me train.

It was exactly what I needed. After that I talked about the trip.

Now, even though I'm an "expert", I still go on tours because it's fun, a great way to meet people, an educational way to learn from an experienced guide, and they usually get you where you can. . . Don't Go Alone They give you time to get used to your destination and give you the same "travel lifestyle" if you're new to travel.

Over the past few months, we've revisited the Nomad Network, a social events platform.

So far we have traveled through Western Europe, Romania, Jordan and Oaxaca, Mexico. (Actually I'll be back in Oaxaca in two weeks for our second visit).

Today we announce all our offers for 2023 (including several new destinations).

TNN Tours is not just for those who want to travel and relax with other members of this community. For travelers who want to meet locals who show you what it's like to live somewhere, and for travelers who want to learn about the food, culture and history of the places you visit.

Team TNN tour posed for a photo after visiting Jordan together.

You'll do must-see activities, eat at locals' homes, and see hidden and unusual places not often found on other group tours. We want to get you out of the tourist traps in these ways.

For example, in Oaxaca we visit palenques (mezcal farms) run by local friends, not by other groups. We invited a longtime resident of Mexico City on a culinary tour.

We get a special permit to visit a gypsy village in Romania.

We will go to the mountains in Morocco and stay with a Berber family.

We eat in secret restaurants that I have discovered over the years in Italy and France, where the menu is what the chef finds in the market that day.

We have a host family in Costa Rica where you can practice Spanish and eat with a family we know.

These tours are done using our connections to get a deeper understanding of the place and its culture. We do not transfer from one site to another. These visits are linked. We believe small groups make the best friends and best experiences, which is why all our tours have a maximum of 15 people.

***

Our tour will show you a more "nomadic" way to see the places. I stick to local transportation, non-touristy bars and restaurants that I've found over the years and focus on people and experiences rather than visitors. Anyone can take you to David's, but we want to take you with an art historian and then follow him to a restaurant run by people I know and love.

We want you to leave with a sense of place, not just photos of yourself in front of the building.

Also, I will be a team member on most tours. After all, these trails are for the community, so we want to make sure we see you all and spend some time on the bike (we don't even want you to miss out on these great trails).

I have over fifteen years of experience creating these lines. This is what I wish I had when I started traveling. Whether you're a newbie or a travel veteran, I hope you'll join us.

We've sold out every tour we've played so far, so make sure you join before they sell out!

Main questions

While each area has its own FAQ, here are a few common ones:

What is your covid policy?
This line is currently open to all travelers. We will monitor any new policies closely and comply with any new restrictions and requirements as necessary. We will notify you if the rules change. Visit each tour page for details.

What about a covid test?
If a covid test is required as an entry or exit condition, we can help you find testing sites, although you will be responsible for the cost of the covid test and booking the tests.

What is the age range for this tour?
Our tour is open to people aged 22 to 75. They really go. In the past, the average age of tour participants was around 40 years old. As we have seen before, age is just a number. Age difference has never spoiled team dynamics.

do you go a lot
All of our tours include 2-3 hours of multiple walks. Some paths have a more difficult path. See each tour page for more details.

Tell me about your guide.
Our experienced drivers are fully licensed guides. You will be responsible for the travel arrangements, all local logistics and any unforeseen events that may occur. Our tour leaders are always available on the day of the trip to provide additional information, arrange spontaneous activities, organize non-group events and meals, and make the trip as memorable, fun and informative as possible. We use other guides for some of our day trips during the trip.

Will I have time for myself?
of course! We hate visits that take up every minute of your day. Even if we are busy, you will have enough time to explore everything on your own. Traveling is about adventure and discovery, which is why we emphasize our tours. We want you to see what's special to you.

What do I do in said "free time"?
Our guides are there to give you advice, help you decide what to do and where to be. If you want to do it yourself, we will take it. We want you to explore and step out of your comfort zone. Our guides are here to help you and when you join the tour you will be sent a list of activities that you can do on your own.

What parts do we live in?
We stay in 2 star hotels and above.

You must be at least 18 years old.

Book your trip. Advice and guidance on logistics

Book your flight
Find cheap flights with Skyscanner. This is my favorite search engine because it searches websites and airlines worldwide so you always know it's up to date.

Book your stay
You can book a hostel at Hostelworld. If you want to stay somewhere other than a hostel, use Booking.com as it always offers the cheapest accommodation and hotel rates.

Don't forget travel insurance
Travel insurance protects you against illness, injury, theft and cancellation. This is a complete protection if something goes wrong. I've never traveled without it since I've had to use it so many times before. My favorite companies that offer the best service and value are:

  • SafetyWing (best for everyone)
  • My travel insurance (for people over 70)
  • Medjet (for additional release)

Ready to book your trip?
Visit my resources page for great companies to use when traveling. I will list all the ones I use when I travel. They are the best in their class and you can't go wrong with them on the road.
