Traveling bankrupt has never been easier. Although "Revenge Road" has raised prices in the short term, they have already begun to drop to epidemic levels. And with the growth of the sharing economy, cheaper flights and access to affordable housing, it has never been so expensive to escape.
If you are American, the strong dollar makes a lot of cheaper (even cheaper) places to visit. While it's not good for others, it's good for us Americans because we get the best exchange rate in years, and despite the absolutely high cost, you have to use that exchange rate to drive well. Immediately.
While there are many great destination options out there, I would like to list a few of my favorites. These places are very interesting, interesting, easily accessible and with an excellent quality-price ratio. Here are 11 cheap places to travel with US dollars.

1. Costa Rica
Costa Rica is my favorite country in Central America. Despite the fact that this is one of the most expensive hotels in the region, your money won't hurt here. It also strikes a balance between economy and safety and offers many amazing attractions and activities.
There is so much to see and do in this magical place. You will find rainforests, turtles, incredible surf, volcanoes, white water rafting, incredible nature reserves, deep diving, and the happiest and friendliest people.
Budget-wise, if you use hostels, buses, and cook your own meals, you only need around $ 50 a day. You can do some inexpensive activities like diving or hiking. As a bonus, flights from the US are also very cheap. If you're flexible, you can find cruises for under $ 300.
With a modest budget of $ 100 a day, you can stay in an Airbnb, eat more, have a few drinks, take the occasional cab, and enjoy paid activities like tours, surf lessons, and museum visits. . In short, you don't want anything out of this budget.

2. Vietnam
Vietnam is already one of the cheapest countries in the budget sphere. If your budget is $ 25 a day, you want less. A hostel costs a few dollars a day and delicious street food can be had for around a dollar. (If you want more luxury, you can comfortably travel across the country for $ 50- $ 75 per day.)
Make sure you spend some time in the bustling capital of Hanoi and visit H. Long Bay in the north. Don't miss the southern C. Che tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City (used by the Viet Cong during the war against the United States).
For some adventures like kayaking and cliff jumping, head to Dalat. If you are looking for beaches, Nha Trang and Mui Ne should be at the top of your list.

3. Romania
Romania is not only an underrated destination in Europe, but also an economic one. Bucharest is a modern and promising capital and the whole Transylvania region is fascinating. Brasov, my favorite city, offers a lot of history (including the famous Brown Castle). Transportation is cheap, and tours and buses are common. It's a huge country, so you could easily spend weeks there and still scratch the surface.
Travelers can enjoy their time here for $ 35- $ 40 a day, which is a steal in Europe. And if you like to hike and stay in hotels, eat more food and have a drink, you can easily do it for under $ 100 a day.
As more and more visitors come here to avoid visa restrictions in the Schengen area, it can become more popular (and expensive), so try to visit as often as possible.

4. India
While India has always been a cheap country, the US dollar is doing well, cheap too. You can make $ 20- $ 30 a day and often even less. Delicious food can be ordered for as little as $ 2, and accommodations are $ 5-10 a night depending on the location.
Even if you choose mid-range accommodation and food, unless you're staying at a five-star resort, you'll be hard-pressed to spend more than $ 50 a day and it's very affordable. Flights to India can be expensive, but once you get there, everything is a bargain.
Don't miss the Taj Mahal, the quiet beaches of Goa, the holy city of Varanasi and beautiful cities like New Delhi and Mumbai.
5. Argentina
Argentina is full of history, beautiful people, culture, wine, football and great outdoor activities, as Patagonia is one of South America's favorite countries. The capital, Buenos Aires, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. (Most people speak English, which makes it easy to navigate.) I've never had as much wine or as much steak as I have here (which strained my budget, but was worth it).
The only problem is rampant inflation, so prices are constantly changing. But even there, you can earn $ 40- $ 50 a day by staying in hostels and doing cheap and free activities like visiting museums, hiking and free walking tours.
Patagonia is the main attraction here, offering stunning scenery and world-class trekking. Nature lovers will also want to visit Iguazu Falls, the largest waterfall system in the world. And while a guided trip can cost up to $ 450 for a multi-day excursion, it's still pretty cheap if it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

6. South Africa
Safaris, wineries, mountains and boundless coasts are perfect for road trips; this is South Africa Whether you are a backpacker or a budget traveler, this country is a great place to visit, with lots to do and lots of adventures (and some great excursions).
While South Africa struggles with corruption and petty crime, it also has a growing tourism industry, backpackers and digital nomads.
For $ 40- $ 60 a day, you can enjoy the wonderful beaches and lifestyle that make South Africa so attractive. While there are certainly cheaper places on the mainland, you'll find great value for money here.

7. Cambodia
Cambodia is one of my favorite countries in the world. The people are incredibly welcoming, and even after a long hiatus between visits, I found this to be one of the best places in Southeast Asia - accessible, friendly and safe.
Prices have risen a little over the years, but not much (even cheaper than Thailand). Tourists can easily earn $ 40- $ 50 a day or less. Street food is cheap and delicious (Phnom Penh is a great city for foodies) and hostels cost less than $ 10 a night. You can travel across the country on a bus for $ 20.
Additionally, Angkor Wat is one of the most impressive historical sites in the world ($ 37). Also, don't forget to visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh to learn about the country's tragic history of violence.

8. South Korea
I don't know why more people aren't talking about it, but if you are looking for a cheap East Asian country with beautiful countryside, South Korea is for you. The country is worth a lot.
When I was in South Korea a few years ago, I was amazed at how cheap everything was. Sure, it's not as cheap as Southeast Asia, but it's affordable compared to Japan or Europe. At KRW 1,372 per dollar and only a few thousand won , I can't imagine you're wasting your budget here (unless you're a foodie, the food here is great).
My friend and I went to the Korean BBQ with a drink and spent $ 8 each. You can get 7-11 bottles of beer for $ 2. Hotels in Seoul cost less than $ 15 per night (hotel room rates start at $ 30 per night). Backpacks can be found here for $ 50- $ 60.
While you're here, don't forget to enjoy some of Seoul's most delicious food and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. For a more luxurious vacation, head to Jeju Island to enjoy the beaches and soak up the sun.

9. Mexico
I'm late to the Mexican party, I admit. Only recently have you gone beyond the sights to visit some of the tourist spots. And I loved every minute of it.
Mexico City is a world-class city with great food and nightlife, Oaxaca has amazing historical sites and lots of delicious food (and all you can drink mezcal), and the Yucatan Peninsula is perfect for car rides and swimming to Sentidos. . . Good).
Although the country has a bad reputation in the United States (due to excessive press coverage), it is much safer and cheaper than you think. Travelers can earn up to $ 50 per day ($ 80 to $ 120 if you want hotels, not hotels), and flights from the US often cost $ 200 round trip.
