CAPE GIRARDeau, MO (KFVS) -- If you want to personally support the SEMO Redhawks football team in Montana, there are a few things you need to know.

The SEMO Redhawks will take on the Montana Grizzlies in the first round on Saturday, November 26 at 9:00 pm ET in Missoula, Montana.

Caroline Sandgren-Kempf is a Cape Girardeau Travel Specialist for Elite Travel.

According to him, there are several ways to get there, including by plane, car and train. However, since it is a weekend, a holiday and there are only a few days left before the match, either of the two routes will have the same cost.

“I think driving is a great option if you like to travel because it's such a beautiful and picturesque place to visit. Of course, getting there is not so fast, and with gasoline prices like this, staying in hotels and restaurants can be a trifle, ”he explained.

If you want to fly, he said there is no direct flight, so you will have to transfer to another airport to get there. There are other factors to consider as well.

"You can fly, but it's a holiday weekend, so airfare prices are traditionally very high this weekend," Sandgren-Kempf said. “Also, the closer the starting point is, the higher the fee will be. Now the fee is about $900.”

If you choose to drive, you'll also factor in the cost of living and food, he said. However, a car gives you more freedom to visit other places during your trip.

“If you want to drive, you can even rent a car here on the cape,” says Sandgren-Kempf. “It will cost you about $300 for about four days, but it's a 25-hour drive, 1,700 miles total. So if you have time, a day or two, to get there, you can go."

Sandgren-Kempf also said it's okay to take the train, since they have departures from St. Louis and Carbondale.

Of course, you'll also need a place to stay in a hotel in the Missoula area. A select hotel near the stadium offers a mountain view king room for two adults, a free hot breakfast and free parking for $177 per night plus tax.

Sandgren-Kempf also said that when you're in the area, if you have time, you can visit some of the scenic spots, including Glacier National Park and Yellowstone.
