ultimate travel lock This simple facility is one of the most important facilities for budget travelers. Since many hostels have lockers, travelers should carry their travel keys with them when traveling. Although you can usually rent them from hostels, they will add up over time. I never leave the house without my key because I know I will need it.

2. Headphones

travel headphones Anyone who has ever stayed in a hostel knows that quality earplugs are a must. From chronic snorers to late-night drunks and couples who mate on squeaky beds, hostels are notorious for their not-so-quiet locations. I recommend investing in good earplugs, not just cheap foam. Not only will they help you fall asleep, but they're great for bus and plane travel as well as exploring busy cities.
